Set A Personal Reading Goal - Stage 1

Have you set reading goals in the past? If yes, what were they and how did you do in meeting them? If no, are you open to setting some now?
What is your current reading mood? In other words, why are you reading right now? For fun? To challenge yourself? What’s your purpose or motivation?
Now try drafting up a reading goal! A reading goal can look like many different things, but here are a few options to get you thinking:
- Number of books you want to read
- Amount of time you want to read daily, weekly, etc.
- Reading in a different language
- Reading books translated from another language or from another country
- Reading in a specific or different genre
- Reading in different formats (e.g., eBooks, audiobooks, etc.)
- Reading longer books
- Reading books that are more challenging (e.g., have harder vocabulary)
- Reading books by different authors
- Reading books that mirror your own experience
- Reading books that reach beyond your own experience
- Reading faster to increase your reading speed
- Reading slower to focus more on the details
- Starting to actually like reading or growing your like of reading
