Visitor, Open eBooks is a free eBook resource for students! To get started, visit the Open eBook information page.

STEP 1: If you do not have an account yet, click on SIGN UP TO ACCESS OPEN EBOOKS. Note: You must be logged into your @guhsd.net account to access the form. After you submit the form, you are done with this stage of the quest. You will need to wait until you receive an email with Open eBooks login information in order to complete this quest. NOTE: If you already have an Open eBooks account, you may go ahead to the next step.

STEP 2: After receiving the “Open eBooks: Access Code and PIN” email (allow 24 hours to receive this email), follow the instructions on how to get started and use your custom code and PIN to log in. NOTE: You may log in on the Open eBooks mobile app or at online at https://www.openebooks.org/app/signin/method/firstbook.

STEP 3: Once you have logged in successfully, you should be able to search for specific books or browse through collections (see sample below). Locate a title that looks interesting and check it out.

STEP 4: To complete this quest, take a screenshot of the Open eBooks title that you just checked out. Upload it below under “Add a File” and click Complete. See screenshot example below.
