What exactly is Audiobook SYNC? It’s a FREE program that allows teens to get audiobooks all summer long! (4/27-8/2/23). To learn more, visit the Free Audiobooks for Teens from SYNC! info page.

STEP 1: Register for the program by submitting your email address on the SYNC website. Click on the SIGN UP button at the top of the page, enter your school @guhsd.net email address and click Submit. While you’re there, optionally sign up for mail and/or text reminders so that you don’t forget to download your free books each week. NOTE: If you already registered for Audiobook SYNC this year, move on to the next step.

STEP 2: Log into Sora (online at https://soraapp.com/ or via the app) if you aren’t already logged in.

STEP 3: Click on 3-line menu icon and under Libraries, click the blue + Add library button (NOTE: Skip this step if you already have added AudiobookSYNC). Search for: AudiobookSYNC and add it. (NOTE: If you already had it added, simply select it from the menu.)

You should now be on Explore for the AudiobookSYNC. On this page, you should be able to see available titles for this week. See screenshot example below. NOTE: The available titles change each week so your screenshot will have different titles based on when you complete this quest.

STEP 4: Check out at least one of this week’s free audiobook SYNC titles through the Sora App (two are available each week throughout the summer). Take a screenshot of your Sora account with the checked out book. See sample screenshot below. NOTE: The available titles change each week so your screenshot will have different titles based on when you complete this quest.

STEP 5: To complete this section of the quest, upload your SYNC checkout screenshot below under “Add a File” and click Complete.
